We are excited for the 2020-21 club season – whatever that may look like! As COVID-19 restrictions continue to evolve, we are adapting our plans to ensure the health and safety of players and staff.
Given the latest guidelines from Governor Brown, we have transitioned our tryouts to a VIRTUAL CLUB COMMITMENT DAY. Virtually signing athletes during the CEVA tryout dates allows us the ability to start practices as soon as it safe to do so. Please note that with this change, we will be offering a spot in the club and will later determine team placements. We are planning to have two (2) teams at each level, but will adjust accordingly based on interest. We encourage you to attend our virtual parent meetings for more information.
Below is an outline of our virtual club commitment day:
REGISTRATION
We ask that all players interested in playing for PDX VB this season complete the online player registration by Thursday, December 10th.
EMAIL PLAYER INFORMATION
Due to the nature of virtual tryouts, we must offer commitment invitations without seeing players on the court. If you are new to PDX VB, we would love to know more information about your player. Please send details about your daughter’s experience (past club experience, school, rec league experience) – feel free to include video, if you have it!
CLUB COMMITMENT
Players can accept the commitment invitation by paying the deposit and completed the CEVA commitment letter (links will be provided in the commitment invitation email). This deposit is non-refundable, unless the season is canceled. If a player does NOT accept their spot by the given deadline, their spot will be offered to another player on the wait list.
